Across 22 plans priced in Washington, a dishwasher adds $7.08 to $20.52 a year — $0.59 to $1.71 a month. The median plan puts a dishwasher at $20.46 a year.

Those 135 kWh are billed at 5.3¢–15.3¢, against a 16.6¢ whole-bill average on the median plan, so on these plans the two rates are close.
What Washington homes use
EIA's 2020 residential survey found 135 kWh a year across 366 sampled homes that run one, 1.20× the national 112 kWh. The middle half spans 64 kWh to 187 kWh, so a dishwasher varies by 123 kWh between one household and another.
The dishwasher's motor, controls and internal heater, including the heated dry cycle where one is used. That average covers homes with a dishwasher — 81% of homes here, against 69% nationally.
That makes a dishwasher about 1% of the electricity a Washington home uses. The remaining 10,856 kWh is what a dishwasher is billed on top of, and on a tiered or time-of-use plan that is what sets the rate it meets.

City of Seattle, Washington (Utility Company) charges $11.64 a year more than Modern Electric Water Company on RESIDENTIAL - SCHEDULE 35 for the same 135 kWh.
Light and heavy use of a dishwasher
A household in the lighter quarter runs a dishwasher for 64 kWh a year and pays $3.36 on the cheapest plan. One in the heavier quarter runs it for 187 kWh and pays $9.84 — $6.48 more for a dishwasher on the same tariff.
