What Minnesota homes use
EIA's 2020 residential survey found 715 kWh a year across 146 sampled homes that run one, 28% under the national 999 kWh. The middle half spans 340 kWh to 803 kWh, so a dehumidifier varies by 463 kWh between one household and another.

A household in the lighter quarter runs a dehumidifier for 340 kWh a year and pays $29.60 on the cheapest plan. One in the heavier quarter runs it for 803 kWh and pays $69.81 — $40.21 more for a dehumidifier on the same tariff.
